The hotel is in a very good location with views over Crow Park. It is very close to the Theatre by the Lake and also the town centre shops and market. The breakfast is excellent - freshly cooked using local produce. This is a friendly and welcoming small hotel. I have stayed here several times and am happy to recommend it as a place to stay in Keswick. Friendly attentive staff who put the customers needs first. We only eat at breakfast but it was a real treat. Service and food were excellent with a never ending supply of toast and coffee. We would recommend this hotel to anyone requiring easy access to the Fells with the amenities of a town.
kaikki arvostelut » The location is superb. Three minutes away from Keswick town centre and five minutes from Derwentwater itself. Stunning view from bedroom window. Excellent standard of food and bedroom facilities. Staff friendly and professional. No quibbles whatsoever. We stayed for one night and the location was wonderful, minutes from the centre but nice and peaceful with lovely views. The staff were so helpful and friendly. The breakfast was tasty and as much of it as you wished to eat. The room whilst small was adequate for a weekend stay. The staff were very friendly and made the stay very enjoyable. Location was ideal for the walks and for evening enterainment. Breakfast was excellent. The location of hotel was close to town center, parking was easy, the hotel staff were all friendly and helpful and hotel was very clean. Breakfast was also very good. Would recommend hotel to friends. We had a lovely view from our window of the lake. The room was spotlessly clean, bed comfortable and the breakfasts were excellent. Set you up for the day. TV sound was poor and the remote didn't work very well much to the annoyance of our neighbours who let us know by banging on the wall. We liked everything. There wasn't anything we didn't like about the hotel or staff. Nothing. The menu at the restaurant was very sparse,but what we did have was excellent. A little overpriced. Stayed there with friends who paid less than us but had a king sized bed, whilst we had a double. Worth checking on the hotel's own website, as all rooms are listed, and you can check. we found nothing to dislike. Nothing. nothing. It was fine for us, but there were a lot of stairs to climb to the top level!. No bad points. there was nothing to dislike. We were on the top floor and I have a bad knee. .not good for people with mobility problems. Nothing. The bed was old and the springs after shot. It really needs replacing. The weather - not their fault of course. no parking spaces,had to park top of street, room was on third floor, at the top of hotel, 6 flights of stares, payed for best room got room at back with small window. i prefer to help yourself first course for breakfast. Parking limited. Room on top floor - long way up. Room average. Price - expensive. Decor, furnishings old-fashioned. Food was abysmal!. The walls are so thin and you can even hear the snoring next door. Not comfortable. the price not worth £120 there are far better places at that price.
