  Location on the lake was perfect. Close to ferry terminal, 5 minute walk to mount rigi cable car. (There is a wonderful kids playground and spa/pool where kids are welcome half way up mount rigi). There is a wonderful lakeside restaurant about 5 mins up the road (direction vitznau). Rooms were huge, bathroom looked newly renovated. We loved the traditional breakfast (dont be expecting scr - The location right on the lake and the new furniture by the lake was beautiful and inviting.I loved hving private, direct access to swim in the lake. The restaurant right by the lake served delicious food all day long and the wait staff were excellent.Manager(or owner) and other staff were most professional and diligent.

  hotel staff were friendly and attentive, the sign on the hotel front door said " let us take care of you, you deserve it" and that is exactly what happened - The staff was very friendly and helpful. The kitchen staff stayed open later so my kids could eat

  We booked Gasthof Sternen for one night sleep, in between two days of long drive from Italy to Belgium. The place is simply as it is advertised, simple and great value for money. Tom was extemely helpful when check-in was delayed beyond midnight due to an accident on the way to the hotel.
