  The room was very clean and smelled very nice, you could see that it was just been cleaned. Very strong wi-fi signal in our room, even downloaded a film in 30 min :) During the night it was very silent and the location was perfect for getting to know the city. Close to almost everything.   I really enjoyed staying at this hotel. It was recently re-innovated. The design is very nice & simple. 1. The Location is great. It is 2 min away from Puerta del Sol and a "Sol" train station. The Tourist Bus Stop is just around the corner. Also, there are lots of cafes/restaurants/bars around. 2. The Staff is very friendly and helpful. The mattresses are very comfortable, as well as pillows, I wish I had one at hom - Overall - very happy with this hotel. 1)The location is perfect and easy to move around, esp it is near the Sol Metro station and the shopping streets. Easy to find our way ... to and fro from the Airport. All the key tourist destinations are really walking distance and there is also a Tourist Information counter at the Sole Metro station. 2) The room is not big but the bed and pillow are very comfortable and the duvet is a + point (after Ive stayed in a few other Euro hotels).   I liked EVERYTHING about this hostel! It was clean, modern, and had everything one would need! A fridge, a built in hair dryer, they even give you shampoo and soap and a comb! FREE WiFi in the room. You can leave your luggage there before you check in, even Days before you check in!   I stayed here for 2 nights and I would definitely recommend it. Good price. Perfect location, only 1 mins to walk from Sol, with 3 metro lines and 1 train line to the airport. Very friendly staff. Old building but was clean and comfortable. Provided 1 shower towel and 1 piece of soap.   Hostal Veracruz is very nice and has clean rooms with AC and own bathrooms. It is very close to Sol, so really in very center of Madrid and Spain. Everything is in walking distance or else the metro and cercanias are near by (at Sol). You are in the thick of the nightlife of Madrid and of the shopping center. This really a nice place to stay. - I had a great stay in hostal Veracruz! The single room was good and very comfortable. Everything was also very clean and the staff was friendly.   I didn't stay at the hotel that much as I spend most of my time outside. But what I can definitely say that the location is perfect and very very easy to reach (Sol Metro station), the room is very clean, big enough for 2 persons with an AC, which makes it comfortable. In total, both of us were happy to stay there. he The price is very good (50 euros/night/room) and perfect for low bud - The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room had been newly renovated and was kept extremely clean. There were two sets of double paned windows to keep out the street noise. The Museo del Jamon was right next to the hotel and is a great place to get breakfast, lunch, snacks, coffee or beer/wine. We would definitely return.
