  I liked that this hostel is located straight in the very heart of Madrid, it is not very expensive, the scinery out of the window is very beautifull on the buildings of the city, personally I like it. The rooms are cleaned every day, the stuff is very friendly .There is a central heating and it was warm in february. You can buy water inside.   The apartment was neat and very well located, near the avenue of La Gran Via and just footsteps away from La Puerta de Sol, the street Hortaleza is very alive, many kind of stores are near the aparment, even a little, but very practical, convenience store where you can pack up with stuff to cook. Great value for money. - The location was wonderful and even though the staff didn't know any English, we didn't have any trouble checking in. We stayed in the family apartment with a private bathroom and there was plenty of space to move around. No crowding. The kitchenette was really helpful for keeping cold drinks and making oatmeal in the morning. Plenty of cafes and restaurants nearby.

  Value for money; the room we had was very small but we spent most of our time discovering the city so that was enough for us. It is the very centre of Madrid, Metro stations & bus stops are nearby.   In early Aug 2013, it was very hot in Madrid. I arrived to find there was no aircon in any room due to a generator failure. Too tired to relocate I stayed anyway. It was a very hot and uncomfortable night. The following day, management were quick to apologize, gave the first night free and upgraded my status to include b'fast for all 3 mornings of... mitä ihmiset sanovat » my stay. Bravo! If this is an indication of Eurostar policy, I am impressed. - Hotel is renovated and is very trendy, our room was good and clean. Cleaning was done well. We had no problems at all. We didn't take breakfast so cannot comment on it. It is well situated, with a tube stop just 3 minutes walk from the door. All major tourists sites are withing walking distance, Plaza del Sol only 5-7 mins away (Prado musem is about 15-20 minutes, so as Plaza Espania).
