  These were perhaps the most relaxing and peaceful 2 days of our big Scandinavian trip. After 5 hours drive from Oslo, we reached Liseth conveniently located half-way between Hardangervidda plateau and Eidfjord, 20 min walk from Voringfossen waterfall. We stayed in a 3 bedroom cottage No.14 accomodating 7 people.   We loved this place. It was our favorite in Norway and Denmark. If you can't do steep stairs well this is not the place for you but other then that everything was excellent and we would stay here again any day.

  For Norway, a reasonable price. We did not mind cleaning for ourselves at the end of our stay. Clean, modern, comfortable for a family. We enjoyed being able to cook our own meals. Most likely you need a car. It was summer, so we used this as a homebase. Some daytrips we enjoyed: Gudvangan and ferry to/from Flam. We also drove to Jo - Very good equipment in the room, friendly stuff, reception works 24/7. Great location - in a hour you can reach 1) Gudvangen to the East (great Naroyfjord nearby, and also stunning view from the serpantine road above the tonnel to Gudvangen), 2) great Hardangerfjord to the South 3) Sognefjord to the North (and near the road to Sognefjord you can walk over snow fields even in August!).
