We found the motel very comfortable, even though our unit was quite old
in décor. The beds were comfortable, heating was good, and it was nice
to find a unit where you could sleep more than 2 children easily. (Unit
slept 6). Everything necessary for basic cooking was available. We

This was the cleanest Motel I had ever been in. I was thoroughly impressed with the layout of the unit, the space allotted, the facilities. The price was incredibly good value for what you were getting.

omg. for what it's worth, this place is value for money and close to the tourist spots. e.g. Sandfly bay to see the penguins/seals, the castle and CBD of Dunedin. The staff were so helpful and we were grateful and excited to see the penguins on the recommended bay that cost nothing. Definately a place to come back to. The cadbury factory was worth it too.

We were lucky enough to be given a gorgeous room in the old villa............not one of the motel units. Our room was just lovely with most of the original features of the villa in tact. It had real atmosphere. I don't think I would have been thrilled to get one of the 'ordinary' units. -

Surprise of muffins upon arrival; smiling owners at reception, friendly and happy whenever we saw them. A flower from their garden in a vase on the table, as we came in. Thanking us for washing up, after ourselves! The place was very spacious, clean and having a spa was heavenly after a long day driving, and I was also very cold. -

Having previously stayed here I was more than happy to return and was not disappointed. We had a comfortable bed and nice room overlooking George St. The bathroom was good and the shower was excellent!! The owner is very friendly and helpful. Our chalet was roomy, comfortable and well-equipped. The owner/manager, Bridget, is a gem. She gave us a warm welcome and could not have been more helpful. The motel has a quiet location about 10 min walk from the lake. This was our second stay and we would happily return.
