The city itself, so interesting, full of atmosphere and scenery. The walk up the steepest road in the world!!. It has new owners who are doing everything they can to update and upgrade the facilities. This takes time but in the meantime they have made the rooms as comfortable as possible and go out of their way to make guests welcome. They showed true kiwi hospitality. It is located just 2 minutes from the town centre so you do not need a car. Everything is within walking distance.They have effective heating and it is clean and comfortable so a great place to stay and a good standard.

Everything! This was our second stay at Coronation Lodge and we just love it. It is close to the centre of town but far enough away to be peaceful and quiet. We stayed in a self-contained apartment that is great if you are staying for a bit longer. You get 100mb free wifi a day and they have lots of Sky channels!
