We just got back from a week long trip in Morocco and stayed at Dar Andamaure for three nights. We enjoyed every bit of our stay there. The owners Marie and Philippe are just amazing people. As everyone has mentioned before - Marie and Philippe and their staff
make you very welcome. I think everyone is so relieved to find such a
beautiful quiet place, after going down the bustling main street, packed
with people, scooters, carts and horses and determined shopkeepers
selling interesting but mostly shoddy wear... Through the twisting
alleys - and knocking on the door to be greeted by a smiling, welcoming
face; you do feel that you have arrived home and are calm and relaxed.

From the start, we were made to feel very welcome. Even before we reached the hotel, the owners had worked out that our plane had been delayed (diverted to Agadir because of a sandstorm) and adjusted the evening meal for us.
The ambience of the hotel was very relaxing, with a quiet courtyard and plunge pool for reflection and reading during the heat of the day. Flowers in all the rooms really did add something extra. And the turtles were a star attraction - role models for contemplation.

Wow! where do I start from? We travel every month but this is the place we will go back to just for the sake of this hotel - Dar Anika and its epitome of hospitality. The 6 of us had such a great time. Simo and all the staff couldn't have been more helpful, arranging a traditional Morroccan meal for our late arrival, advising us on sights and restaurants and organising a day at a beautiful private pool when the temperature hit 40! The location within the medina next to the Royal Palace is great and although the walk to Jemaa el fna takes 10-15 minutes it means you see more of the side streets plus the palace walls with nesting storks. The building is great with a traditional riad style. The open terrace was lovely and secluded; perfect for breakfast and sunbathing. The staff were very friendly and offered to arrange tours etc for us. The restaurant was a special treat with gorgeous French cuisine. The location is perfect; close enough to the medina to walk there easily but far enough away to be a quiet retreat.
