Riad Magellan is a traditional, thoughtfully designed and well cared for
Moroccan riad providing a place of calm and tranquility in the otherwise
extremely busy and noisy old center of Marrakesh. The breakfasts are
traditional and more than adequate. Phillipe, the riad's owner, is
welcoming and knowledgeable and happily shares his experience. He treats
his staff well and fairly. His staff are quiet friendly folk whom I
consider it a privilege to have met and spent a little time with. The

We stayed 4 nights in the middle of November at Riad Magellan, and it
got our visit to Marrakech off to a fantastic start. The rooms are
spacious with excellent bathrooms, and the beds are very comfortable.
Everyone really enjoyed relaxing on the rooftop deck after days in the
maze of souks.
Philippe was an excellent host and was able to suggest a restaurant for a birthday celebration and arranged a driver for a trip to Essaouira. The location is perfect for exploring the medina and is walking .
I stayed with my adult daughter and we were made very welcome by Phillipe and his excellent staff. We had a wonderful week's holiday.The Riad is well placed within the Medina, everything within walking distance. The amazing alleyways are so enchanting. Phillipe is very knowledgeable and he arranged some great trips for us. We especially loved the Atlas Mountains.Nothing was too much trouble.The decor was amazing and the meals we had there were delicious.We shall certainly go back.
The Riad Magellan was the surprise of our 6 week holiday.This accommodation is superb.It is absolutely unique, a little quirky, swish and an absolute oasis at the end of the derb that winds to its front door. phillipe and adil are excellent hosts and if you intend visiting Marrakech I recommend strongly that you stay at this establishment.The rooms are delightful, the beds very comfortable and it is located very close to all the action in the heart of the city.
It is really very quiet and secure place among the madness of Marrakech. And there was a best blanket in the world ))

Great little place - very quirky! The location is fantastic, very near the stalls and main square (El Jemal fna).

Riad Magellan is very convenient for the souks and interesting places within the Medina. The staff were very helpful and suggested places to see/ eat/ etc.

We came a day earlier to Marrakesh and Phillipe was able to arrange a
stay at another riad (Riad Majala). The place was beautiful and the
night security guard was so helpful to have walked around the area so we
knew how to find our way back. Breakfast was served on the terrace which
was great. We met Phillipe the next day, he was very friendly and gave
us a recommendation for a lunch place!.

but there was no breakfast ready for us.
