Decorated with traditional Zellige tile work and hand crafted items, each room overlooks the garden or the Medina of Fez. A continental breakfast is provided every morning. The Riad can prepare local specialities upon demand and serve them on the terraces, in the living room or by the fountain on the patio. Riad Jean Claude is a 5-minute drive from the Tombs of the Merinides and from Dar Batha Museum and Fes Saiss Airport is 20 km away. We stayed in Riad Jean Claude for two nights in October. We booked the Fes twin room because this was the only one available. Like the Meknes room this room is situated on the highest floor of the Riad. The room has a private terrace which gives you a great view over the Fes medina. The room was quite small but offered just enough space for our luggage. The beds were very comfortable and the air conditioning worked well. The bathroom had a good shower and all facilities we needed. But there is .
kaikki arvostelut » Jean Claude was the most helpful friendly host you could possibly find. He collected and dropped us off at the bus station and helped us with onward tickets. The riad was in an excellent location very close to the medina but just far enough away to be quiet. The swimming pool was great to have after a hot day exploring. The delicious breakfast was served in a lovely garden setting and the view from the balcony was spectacular. The riad and Jean Claude are very nice and welcoming. He makes you feel like home. Pleasent to relax after a day in the medina, the small swimming pool in the garden and useful the small tips he gave about Fes and the sorroundings. We had dinner at the riad: it was delicious and huge! We would definetely go back and reccomend it!. The owner is more than helpful - he does everything from bringing you to the train station to giving excellent dining advice; and he is a sympathetic person! And has a cute cat.. The riad garden with pool is great to get down from the noisy city TV with all world channels (if you need them..). The location is great - right at one of the entrances to the Medina. Jean-Claude and his staff were friendly, and helpful without being intrusive. I was the only guest and the riad the four days that I was there and was made to feel like one of the family. I'll definitely go back. I went there with a friend and the owner was awesome and helped us with everything we needed. He is a french guy who gives you all the attention you need and makes sure you have a wonderful stay in his hotel. The breakfest in awesome and it is located right next to the medina. So friendly and wonderful riad. The Wifi signal is much too weak. Because his computer is situated near the entrance gate of the Riad this is the only area where you can catch the signal. At the higher rooms and at the common terrace the signal is too weak. The smell of the bathroom: unfortunately there must be a problem with the sewer. The room is a bit too dark, but this is quite common in riads. Some parts of the room are kind of old (door, windows) Poor lightning in the room. I have absolutely nothing to dislike, but I have to say that the WiFi had poor signal in my room, but I would never discard this hotel just because of this.
