  Generator was a great place to stay in Venice. Even though it is on Giudecca, there is a vaporetto stop near the hostel and getting to St. Mark's Square is quick and easy. Staff were generally helpful and made a special effort to help us locate a lost piece of luggage at the airport. Certainly better than your average budget hostel. - They helped me to charge my phone when my cable got broken. Very comfortable beds with lights that don't disturb others. Quite cheap, good breakfast for additional price. It was a half-populated 16 person dorm, but it was comfortable to stay there. It is on a separate island from the city center, but public transport is working all the night so it's not a problem.

You should know that all the twisted roads make it impossible for the map to work in Venice. Given that I hate Venice because of the unfriendliness of the locals and awful food for tourists, having a nice room - First, This is the best location ever! I felt so lucky to walk out the door and have all the main places from 5_10 minutes walk. Emilio was very helpful. his instructions confused me and he came to walk with me from the water boat stop. the rooms are big and you get a big wardrobe for your things' lock included. I loved there was an all female room! too many hostels say everyone must be in a mixed room. it is more comfortable to me not to have mixed gender. This is my favorite hostel so f

  The location serves the highest point for this hostel as it is locates very close to the St Lucia station, and it is just a few steps from a vappretto/water bus station. The man who is in charge to run the hostel is also nice to the guests. He is helpful and willing to give information of things we need, related to oir trip. Sam and Emy were so lovely and helpful and always recommended the best places to go, never went needing anything during my stay. Close to the train station and waterbus stop is right outside. Bed was comfy and everything clean, handy having a kitchen especially when on a budget. Met some amazing people...loved it, didn't wanna leave - I'll be back (: x

  I stayed for one night, and it was perfect. If you are looking for a hostel to stay for a few nights, this one is perfect. 10 min. from St. Marco Place. The owner is a really nice and helpfull guy, he gave me a map and showed me where i could go. Really appriciated his help.
