I stayed here for 5 nights and thoroughly enjoyed it. All the staff were professional, friendly, helpful and gave insider tips on best places to eat, visit. Its in a great location, walking distance to St Marco square. As a solo female traveller, I found it very safe and there are many eateries close by. My double room was spacious and clean. The shared bathroom and communal kitchen was spotless.

My family stayed here for i night and enjoyed our stay. The staff are friendly and helpful giving us advice where to eat, shop and visit the landmarks. Having a very good location and close to everything, we enjoy our walks and shopping.
By the way, i loved the kitchen and the bathroom, i felt i was just home in canada. We would positively come back and stay again in our next vacation.
The other reviews mentioned everything of notice: nearby S. Marco, the kitchen is used by everybody, also the bathroom. We stayed in a 2 persons room and it was a bit small, but we managed (if you stay more outside it doesn't bother you at all because you stay too little inside:D). Also there is a nearby supermarket for those interested.
Great location, close to san marco and san zacharia. Our room was for
three persons, big with a large terrace. There is a kitchen for
common use, so you can cook during the day. Good place for a company
of friends.
The location is great and the Venice Hazel can serve young couples who just want a pleasant B&B in the heart of Venice. The staff is very kind and the price was fair.
Wonderful view from the window, clean, great situation (city center, but on the small and quiet street), liked having mini-refregirator in our room, nice personnel.
Nice atmosphere. We had a big double room. It was very clean and the kitchen was well equiped. The personal was friendly. We enjoyed our stay there.

the owner took us to another house instead of the address shown on the site. But it turned out not bad, it is clean and new.
Host was quite knowledgable and shared bathrooms were nice. Good to have use of a kitchen. Room was nice and spacious.

... i guess it is what it is:) we cannot say it's a minus(this is the policy there)...but just so you know;).
The towels and sleeping staff for the bed are not included, you should
pay extra money for it. The city tax is 3e per person a day - higher
than in other places.
Small breakfast (although we couldn't have wished for more for that price).
Was extremely hot and humid and only a fan so was very hard to sleep.
We were a bit surprised to find out we weren't actually staying at the address on the booking but were taken a fair distance to the actual accommodation. That said it was still in a convenient spot. The air conditioning wasn't working (though there was a fan) and wifi in the place kept dropping out.
Paid extra for bed sheets and towels! Breakfast wasn't very satisfying! Very limited! Our double bed was very ... Very small.

Breakfast was late in the morning and consisted of packets of food, nothing fresh, not even yoghurt, fruit or milk. Very expensive for essentially a hostel. We also had to make our own bed.
There was no hot water and breakfast was at best extremely poor. Should have been sold as simply 'Bed'.
