  We really enjoyed our stay here. The hotel really stood out in terms of quality (from what we saw of other hotels in venice). The staff (who all spoke at least some English) were friendly and helpful. The room was impressive and ours was bigger than I thought it would be after I read that some people thought the rooms were small. Although the hotel first seemed is a li - After reading horror stories of small rooms and inconsistent service in Venice, we intentionally looked for a room with updates and some space and Carnival delivered both. Check in was easy and quick! The hotel was in the quite end of town and away from the crowd. It is also a very short distance (5min) to the public transportation dock and maybe 15 min walk to the train station. Rooms very modern and clean. Hot water all week and lots of water pressure. Breakfast was hot everyday and delicious

  We really liked the location of this hotel.. A little off the beaten track, near a square 'Campo Santa Marguerita' where there were more Venetians than tourists. Only short work to major sites. We were pleasantly surprised as after reading remarks & rating of previous tourists we expected an overpaid seedy hotel. At Venice you can't talk expect value for money…. But - The location was convenient as it is near the waterbus station which takes you anywhere. The room was clean and neat. The staff was helpful and provided everything we needed. There are also many restaurants in the area so it is fairly convenient.

  The hotel is just beautiful. It's a three hundred year old Palazzo that has been meticulously restored, with great attention to detail and luxury. We felt very welcomed and " at home" in beautiful surroundings. The staff were incred - This hotel was our favorite from all of our hotels this trip. We did eat in the restaurant one night and it was very good. Our waiter was excellent and I'm pretty sure he is the only Italian waiter to have smiled at us our whole trip (no joke!) I loved sitting on the little boat landing with my book and drink after a day sightseeing.
