There's an authentic coffee shop across the road with an amazing Venetian coffee at Eur1.20! I couldn't believe my eyes. Quite a local neighbourhood, so you can get a sense of where local Venetians go if you get up early in the morning for a walk!

Fabio was a delight, and Luke must be the most friendly and positive Italian guy we have met on our trip :) The room we had was one with a view (ask for second building) and required walking up some stairs, but we did not mind!   The location was fabulous! Only minutes from the vaporetto stop and San Marco plaza.
