  We recently stayed at Hotel Al Piave in the 2 bedroom family suite. The rooms were clean and exactly as advertised (2 rooms and a bathroom). Prior to choosing Hotel Al Piave, I had read the negative customer ratings just to see what the worst case scenario could end being, along with how the hotel management responded.   The owner of this hotel is a very elegant man, who was very helpful and made our stay all the more enjoyable. The room itself was not large but had a wonderful veranda that overlooked a canal.   The location of the hotel was excellent, as it was quiet, yet just off a lovely square. It was so close to the grand canal and therefore easy for transport and sightseeing, eating out etc. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Hotel Staff were very friendly and happy to accommodate, the lady at reception gave us a map and showed us the way to the major attractions as well as her favourite cafes and restaurants. The hotel courtyard was a lovely little place to sit for your breakfast.
