They made us feel welcome, were kind and friendly and helped us in any way they could. The hotel was clean, comfortable and warm. - very close to the port to catch the ferry in the morning. friendly staff, and very helpful.

The best about this hotel is its location. It is situated in the city center and the main landmarks- the port, the Archeological museum and the bus stop are easily accessible alike with the main shopping streets. Convenient location to city sights, port and airport. Parking and
breakfast option (good value) are also pluses even though I did not use
them for this stay. The price, while on the high side, is ok,
considering that accommodation in Heraklion is expensive compared to
other places in Crete.

We stayed in a triple room including aircon which worked well. Room was large enough for 3 people and also included a large balcony with table setting.
The hotel is well located to the main ferry port connecting crete to other islands in the cyclades (port is at the end of the street).

One of the best hotels I've stayed in (I'm a business traveler who spends about 200 nights a year in hotel around the world). The staffs were amazing. A special thanks goes to Miltos for all his help with finding good restaurants. I'd love to come back to his hotel at some other time. Thank you for such a wonderful time.

Mare vista hotel, well you see the harbour, sea and all boats coming in. With 10 min walk to harbour you catch our boat easy. Buss station is about 20 min walk and buss to Knossos costs 3€ each person. 30 min walk and you are in old town. If you like beach, it is 15 min buss trip to east.

A good place near the port (10 minutes walk) and the airport (10 minutes by car) so it is comfortable to use it if you plan a flight or sailing next morning. There is some noise due to the airplanes but not too much. Nice view at the port. The room is rather simple but enough for the 1 night stay.

The staff here was great. When we arrived hungry and tired after 9pm, they recommended a great little place to eat right down the road, away from the hustle and bustle of the City Center (which is also amazingly close and enjoyed the following evening).
The rooms are a good size, the shower pressure was great and the balcony was pretty big, complete with a pull out rack for hang-drying clothes. They also pointed us to a drop-off laundrymat nearby.

Innkeeper gentleman was very concerned for our well-being. He was a welcome sight after two days of sight-seeing. Cleanliness was topnotch. Room was spacious. Plentiful breakfast, too. - It was perfect, that there is wi-fi in the hotel and I could use the internet.

Trianon, the guy behind the counter, was great. Totally friendly, and slightly quirky sense of humour.
The hotel itself is a perfectly preserved type of 1960s business hotel architecture, and has been barely changed since the 1980s (dot matrix receipt printer!). This is a good thing, I hope any renovations keep the excellent staircases and mosaic floors.
