A new hotel in a great and modern design with a special blue light in the hallway nighttime. A former school remodeled to a hotel. The brick walls are visible in some places. High ceilings. Nice and helpful staff. Clean and nice rooms with very comfortable beds ( pretty hard). And the best of all - a really good bed lamp. Fresh breakfast. Close to the subway station Hammer Kirche. Great value for money. Would highly recommend it. Just loved it.

Staff were great and quietly got on with their job barely noticed, yet utterly efficient. Great breakfast. Would definitely come back and recommend to friends. The Volksschule is a very classy style hotel. It is an old school building refurbished and updated to today's safety codes/standards. You feel like you are staying in a 5 star hotel for the price of a 2 star. We have to return to Hamburg for our flight home and will be staying there again. Modern, aesthetically pleasing room design, high ceilings, excellent bathroom and big windows. Free and accessible parking. Friendly and helpful service. Internet included. Very nice hotel and good value for the money. Close the underground if you like to go into the city center. the price for such a quality hotel is very decent. modern design, clean, good breakfast. location was perfect for me as i had a meeting in the neighbourhood the next morning, otherwise it is a bit far away from the center. newly completed, very clean, good and varied breakfast servings, conveniently located to subway, good value, free parking, heated bathroom floors! very helpful and friendly staff - particularly Ilona!. Very pleasant, great staff. Warm atmosphere. Comfortable, clean. I will certainly recommend it to anyone visiting Hamburg!. Though there was a good selection of foods for the breakfast buffet, it is too expensive at 14 euros apiece. I believe 10 euros would be more than sufficient. This was the ONLY downside to the hotel. Not many good restaurants within walking distance. i have nothing to complain about. insufficient lighting in rooms, bathroom faucet turns off automatically too soon and no drain stopper, had to log into the wifi almost every time it was accessed. None. beds were a bit too hard. n/a. Leaking shower. Was massive flood in the bathroom and even outside of it. They fixed it the next day though. Late check in (3pm). Bit noisy. breakfast price was on the high side!!!!!. There aren´t any areas like: restaurant or place to have something for dinner inside the hotel, gym,. Location is terrible. Nowhere to go for a walk or to eat and driink. The hotel itself reminds emty school during vacations.You dont feel relaxed or comfortable in lobby, halls and corridors. Will try to avoid this hotel in the future.
