We had a very good and reasonably priced dinner in the restaurant and the breakfast buffet (included in our room rate) was one of the best that we had during our trip. The chocolate shop at the hotel had a very good selection of beautifully made candies. The standout feature was the excellent evening meal: the hotel restaurant is of a high standard.   Great place in a great area. This lovely hotel lies on top of a hill just in front of a beautiful lake from which is visible the famous castle of Neuschwenstein.   Absolutely love this hotel, and Fussen! The view from the dining room terrace overlooking the garden and mountain range in the background is enough to make your stay complete. The staff are friendly, polite and professional, and the rooms are clean and cosy. One of the selling points for me was the Konigs card given to hotel guests. Only about 8-10 minute drive to castle ticket office. And it's possible to get a mountain view room although we didn't have one. Great little terrace on the back porch to sit and drink wine (we brought our own) after a hard day of touring.
