  I loved the fact it was a relaxed atmosphere,not stuck up like somehotels. We booked on line and was'nt to sure about the location.Thankfully it was a fantasic location close enough to the town butfar enough away that we did'nt hear all the music on the front. The staff kindlyhelped me call the emergency number and patiently waited forinstructions on how to release all of my travel clothing. Just 60 seconds walk from the old port where you can see the three towers for which La Rochelle is aptly famous and just around the corner from the Rue Saint Jean du Perot where you can find a range of excellent restaurants.   Easy to find on a main road with free paring outside. We were warmly greeted at the door by the proprietor, who helped us carry our bags in and showed us to the room. The hotel has old features and a clean modern feel. We felt totally relaxed after a long drive as soon as we walked through the door. The port is a short walk through park 10/15 mins easy to get to with the map we were given. W - The location was ideal for us. Not being in the centre of town it wasn't too hectic. Designer furniture and spotlessly clean. Our 2 night stay was very enjoyable. Staff were great and nothing too much trouble. We had the breakfast option and found it good value for money. Showers had decent pressure and plenty of hot water at 0930. We had the comfort room which we later learnt is the budget small room. Fine for 2 nights if passing through but too small for longer stays. Minimal storage for two

  We went for a week and stayed at this hotel and it was great it was in a great location near the town centre supermarket places to eat out. We were right near the attractions too. The hotel staff were very helpful friendly and always happy to help.
