  The staff were absolutely wonderful in every way. They arranged safe storage of documents in the hotel safe even though it was not a usual service. The house keeping staff are fastidiously clean. The porter in particular was a gem. He walked me to a laundry some distance away and arranged laundry as I do not speak Portuguese well.   All front desk staffs speak good English. Since this is a business hotel, rates on the weekend was cheaper than the weekdays. Use a yellow taxi if you go to tourist spots. They are honest and you pay by the meter. I used a car service that hotel offers when I visited steel plants that are far from the hotel. It is safe near the hotel.
