  The hotel is an attractive, nicely restored mansion that is close to train station ( walk in 15 minutes) and the tram or bus to get to the old city is only a block away. Take tram 4 from the train station if you do not want to walk to the hotel. Get off at the 3rd stop then walk one block. After a day of walking, my wife was not up to walking to any local restaurants so he - The reception by the staff was very friendly and informative. The building was fancy and the rooms are large. The hotel is situated in a large mansion which used to be a number of things in the past and is nicely transformed into a (mere) fifteen room accommodation. The king- sizey bed was excellent and the bathroom was nice. We also had a great time in the City of Ghent, which we had a nice walk to (about 20-30 minutes) and returned from by tram.   Beautiful rooms, stylish design. We stayed in Graaf Van Vlaanderen Room (Executive Double Room) and Modern Room (Deluxe Double Room with Balcony). Both are cosy. It's nice to sit by a fireplace with a beer. :) Wonderful breakfast. Lovely amiable hosts and staff. Excellent advices given. The recommended places were beautiful.   This is a real statement, not a fake. I stayed there 2 nights for business reasons. Kurt, the owner was really concerned about every aspect of my stay. I saw him with some other customers doing exactly the same. The best treatment for his customers in every detail is a personal thing for him. The room was ... wow.
