  The staff were very friendly but not in that it's my job kind of friendly. The location was central to everything. It was also close to public transport if we wanted to go further than a walking distance. A map given to us at the front desk was very helpful. Check in staff marked where we were on the map. It makes us want to come back t - Arrived from the usa to Australia and was allowed to check in early. Front desk staff was Excellent. They were very helpful and knowledgeable as was our first time there! Hotel is clean, bed is very very comfortable and had plenty of hot water! (That was from other post we read before we got there!) Hotel in an excellent location in the cbd. It's not a luxury hotel but it would be a hotel I would choose again.

  Friendly and efficient staff. My late check-in from the airport was pleasantly and conveniently organised for entry and key pick-up! We were also walked through by Joanne after we arrived for our second stay to be shown easier access from outdoors to lower ground. A BIG bonus was the pantry and laundry complete with an iron:) Would surely RETURN, when needed for a stay. - The lady on reception was friendly and welcoming and we appreciated her knowledgeable of the area. The lodge has a lovely character, was very clean, up to date in design and comfortable. Its also central to the uni, a lively pocket of wonderful little restaurants and general shopping.

  We have stayed here a few times, and have just had another 2 nights. it is sad to constantly read the poor reviews the hotel gets. Sure there are things that need some fixing up, and yeh it's not the Hilton, but it sure is a great friendly and convenient place to stay and relax. The rooms are spacious and beautiful, comfortable bed! There is à kitchen, where you can make your own breakfast. And bathrooms, although shared, are clean. I have seen other backpackers or hotels nearby but this hotel really stands out to be classy for the money spent.

  The room was small but was always kept very clean. The hotel is in a quite location and it is only a 5 minute walk to the nearest train station which was very handy. The breakfast was great. George, the proprietor, was a great host. He knows all his guests by name and is always willing to assist.   The hotel has a rather European feeling to it; the reception area and breakfast room are small and efficient, and our room was of adequate size but not large. The lift was not working when we arrived, but the staff were very helpful in assisting us with our luggage, and they were unfailingly helpful throughout our stay. We received our early morning call as requested. When we have another visit to Sydney we hope you can accommodate us.
