This hotel is probably the most conveniently located in Alice Springs (short walk to the town) and the restaurant/bar/pool area is very pleasant. The quality of the restaurant was a pleasant surprise. The restaurant staff were brilliant - nothing we asked was too much trouble. The cute maintenance boy that came to fix the problem below...the sparkling wine we ordered from room service was delish; GREAT staff and "luxury" with value after being in the outback.
kaikki arvostelut » Nice hotel with swimming pool and restaurant if needed (although a bit expensive). Friendly staff and nice big room. In 5 minutes, closing the bridge, you are in the center. On our 1st visit we had a ground floor room with small outdoor terrace which we really appreciated. Dinner in the restaurant was excellent. Free wifi in our room was a bonus. The staff is very friendly and sophisticated. We also enjoyed the restaurant at the hotel - the food is pretty tasty and the service is good. Nice clean comfortable room, friendly helpful staff. Close to town.... But not right in it .So a pleasant walk to galleries etc in town. Great friendly hotel. Nice rooms, good restaurant. Laundry. Great place to spend a night before (and after) a road trip. Exceptionally helpful and friendly staff. Food at the restaurant was really good. 5-10 minutes walk to the city center. Great location. We had a massive problem when checking in which took about an hour - tough after 5 hours travelling on a 40 degree day. It was eventually sorted out and the staff were apologetic but it shouldnt have happened. There is longish walk with no footpath to the rooms and you have to drag your own bags. Once there if you happen to have an upstairs room you have to lug your bags up the stairs as there is no lift. Not knowing the switch that turned on the lights and electricity in the rest of the room was by the main entrance door... I actually just did not like the city at all!. On our 2nd visit we had a larger room but no balcony or terrace. No complaints. Nothing. Swimming pool was small and surrounded by people all the time. Pool was freezing! Just a little heating would have been nice just to take the edge of the ice cold. Air con did not work properly and had to change room, though right after check-in. no small couch type chairs in standerd Rooms which older people like;. Room a little bit to dark. A few more lights would be pleasant. Only one minor item: trouble running a bar tab. Second time I've stayed there and had the same problem on both occasions. Obviously not much of a problem. Too dark at the Car park. A bit lonely when you got to go to get something from the car at night. Cleanliness of the mirrors in the room left a little to be desired. Screaming kids throwing balls and bombing in the pool, far from relaxing. Bathrooms need upgrading along with hot water system. Breakfast was very ordinary. Breakfast is a bit pricey. It was a shame there was no toaster in the room. No secure insect screens to get fresh air of a night. Ask for room in new wing, one new staff member wanted to charge us extra for Room in new wing. Nothing in particular - the hedge outside the rooms made them a bit dark. Breakfast a big disappointment. Dreadful coffee. parking lot configuration & vehicular access limitations to/from the facility. Nothing really. Restaurant food expensive. only no breakfast included. Restaurant service and food did not live up to expectations. The mattress needed turning as every one sleeps on the same side. The staff at the checki in could have been a little more friendly. The hotel lets abourigines use the facilities. While we were there they ran around the hotel and pool area, jumping of the pool bar. They act like animals and smell very bad, and left rubbish around the pool.None of the staff say anything to them, and let them carry on This is very off putting and not nice when you pay good money to stay there. Rooms and bathrooms were a bit tired, stained towels, didn't feel private and secure due to big glass sliding doors taking up one wall, ill fitting curtains and people walking past all the time. Room disappointing we paid for a superior room!! It was dark & the outlook was at another roof would have liked to look out at the ranges lighting bad curtains too dark needed repairs.Dripping Tap over basin annoying. over basin light remained outof order (coming on and off) despite reporting.(118). Receptionist not very helpful when I had a problem with the door lock. All very basic. Noisy on the street side. Check in /check out staff ordinary to unfriendly.
