I stayed at the hotel with my girlfriend for one night and a layover between two flights at jfk.
The place is one of the rather few hotels around Williamsburg but a good place to go and explore this neighbourhood. The closest sub stations are metropolitan ave (g line) and lorimer (l line). They are within 5min walking distance. Bedford ave station is also easy to reach 5-10min.

After arriving by car and experiencing a not too helpful doorman, I was pleasantly surprised to be upgraded to a suite. The room was a good size for NYC. Hotel was a block from Grand Central Terminal, super for subway and subway shuttle to Times Square! The restautant on site was nice, good food, out door seating. Because it was on 44th, and blocked by the terminal, the street was REALLY quiet. Toiletries and hair dryer and iron all good, no need to pack yours! -

I liked the fact that the room and bathroom were very clean and well kept. For New York City the size and price of the hotel room were also exceptional, especially when looking at some of the other hotels in the area. All of the staff, including the restaurant, were helpful and friendly and eager to serve. Everything is in walking distance.

This was the first time we ever stayed at a Homewood suites and I will
never stay anywhere else! Everything was exceptional! The rooms were
clean, the full kitchen had everything we needed. The fireplace was a
bonus that we thoroughly enjoyed! The king size bed and pillows were
extremely comfortable and there was even a ceiling fan in the bedroom!

The staff was great! Nancy at the bar was terrific! Our room was clean and everyone on staff was very friendly and had great suggestions. It was the perfect little break from the big city. We loved it, and will definitely be back. Also, the Loop Bus was awesome (for those without cars). Picks up from the front of Sam's club near Wal-Mart and drive

The staff was amazing; especially the front desk! They let me know that washers and dryers were available at the hotel that were free to use. The pool area was large with good seating. The room was clean. When I was there, they were completely full and the service was still excellent. -
