The staff were extremely friendly and welcoming and I also found that the recommendations of places to eat and sites to see were superb. I would definately stay again and strongly encourage others to do so. An all round excellent hotel which is perfect for a stay in the beautiful surrounding area.

The lovely welcome and really super accommodation. Loved the owners and would have liked to stay longer. Easy to get to all places we wanted to visit and also had parking on the side of the property. Wonderful breakfasts. Enjoyed the TV and had our own key to come and go as we liked. -

The owners, Simon & David, were very friendly & welcoming. The breakfast was great, with a good choice of dishes. There were some nice little touches, like providing tissues etc. The beds were very comfortable too. I would definitely stay there again.

Before travelling I received a phone call asking what time I would be arriving. The owners son showed us to our room and was pleasant. We loved our stay at the Boundary. We went for my wifes birthday and loved everything about it. We stayed in the Hobbs room with a 4 poster bed and gorgeous bathroom. The staff and owner were friendly and extremely helpful. All in all I highly recommend staying here and we will definately be back in the future.

Fantastic hosts - great communication from the start. Very helpful, gave great advice and nothing seemed too much trouble.
Lovely room - very comfortable with little touches including toiletries, fresh milk, delicious flapjack and WiFi. Great choice of breakfasts on offer - something for everyone with lots of fresh coffee and toast etc.

Good location.... 3 min walking to railway and bus stations, very convenient to Bowness, Grasmere, Hawkshead, as well as other attractions. Room is clean and comfort. Homemade breakfast is rich and delicious. Orrest cottage is excellent value for money.

Extremely comfortable, quiet and spotless clean accommodation. The single room with the bathroom was just amazing, warm, cosy and the perfect place to go back after a long walk.
