  We were given a great welcome by a delightful Spanish employee and as we were keen to see the Tour of Britain cycle race stage finish in Gateshead he allocated us a room with a view - we were very grateful.The dining room staff at breakfast set a high standard of service.   Having read previous reviews we were not disappointed by what we found when we arrived. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful, a credit to the hotel! The place itself was clean bright relaxing and comfortable. Breakfast was good once we had mastered the toaster! The pool and spa area was great too, so you must check this out.   I was given a free up grade as it was my wedding night. The room I wasgiven was fantastic. My new wife and I were more than pleased with theway we were treat. Thank you. - Excellent rooms which match a four star grade hotel. Friendly helpful staff and good breakfast buffet. Close to Metro Centre. Friends were upgraded to executive room.
