  We received an extremely friendly welcome and the staff were friendlythroughout our stay. Room was clean, comfortable and welcoming and hadall the facilities needed.   Friendly, helpful staff and excellent value for money. The Hotel was very comfortable, within easy walking distance from the ferry port and shops. - The staff were some of the friendliest I have met in my many years of travelling and were always willing to go that extra mile.

  All reviews mention the famous carpet on the stairs, but my room was clean, roomy and comfortable. The staff are very friendly and helpful, the meals in the bar were fine, and the location is excellent, opposite the castle, next to a bus stop and convenience store, and an easy walk to the railway station. - A very warm welcome by the staff.
