A picturesque, peaceful place. Large tasteful bedroom, beautifully furnished. Fabulous bathroom/wet room. Nothing was too much trouble. We felt like we were staying with the owners in their own home rather than paying guests. Breakfast was first class. Can not recommend Sandown House highly enough. -

Each room had a unique and beautiful view of either the Loch or the garden. We stayed in a room with a garden view and enjoyed looking at the deer, birds and flowers. Finding a place like this little gem means that you are left with good memories of your holiday.
The owners greeted us we tea and shortbread and did everything they could for you and were always cheerful. The room very comfortable with the largest bed we have ever slept in. For breakfast there was a lot of choice and it was cooked to perfection. Thank you Sandra and Allan for a lovely time.

My 5 night stay was 5 star. My room was spotless and the bed was the most comfortable I have EVER slept in. The marine has the most wonderful setting with a superb view across thurso shore to scrabster harbour, Holborn head, Orkneys and dunned head. Thanks Karen & Richie for your helpfulness and the lovely breakfasts, my great start to perfect days. I will be visiting you again.

Era un hotel muy familiar y acogedor. - Excellent room and bathroom, nice fitted out, good nights sleep. Food was verry good and well presented. Plenty of seats in the lounge area and they are very comfortable . - A beautiful setting in a charming building, enjoyed the log fires and home made scones, food excellent and great value for money.
