Me and my friend traveled down for a wedding and choose this hotel by luck. I'm glad i did and i would definitely come back and use it again and again. Robert who i believe was the owner was only happy to help very welcoming and his staff were just as nice.

Lovely hotel, full of character and the staff are wonderful, Rob the owner couldn't of been more helpful, a mine of information about the local area. Spacious rooms and bathrooms, and tasteful decor in a lovely old building. Breakfast was delicious, and wish we'd tried the restaurant in the evening, the pizza looked amazing. Great location in a lovely seaside town, will come again!

Just a short 1/2 mile walk along the path opposite the hotel to the centre of Bideford. Breakfast was very good, the staff were very friendly and accommodating. Cycle hire on the Tarka Trail in approx 1 mile away. The view from the bedroom and dining room over the fiver was superb.

Location was good, close to High Street and the Cathedral. A wonderful stay and would most certainly book there again. - Everything ! The hotel is really nice, well decorated, the room really comfy. The bed was so good i wish i had not had to go working. The fresh fruit salad at breakfast is heaven. The owners are charming and welcoming. I enjoyed my stay (2 nights) very much and recommend this hotel to anybody who want to be pampered.

I see that others have complained about the windows. We stayed during an Atlantic gale and the windows were completely soundproof. The staff are bright and cheerful and the carpark is massive. We had a super room overlooking the river, the room was very comftable with arm chairs, tea/coffe making facilities, super large bed.The web site did not do this hotel justification we thought it was very good value for money and the evening meal we had was superb, would recommend this hotel to anyone. - as above plus great staff, very helpful.
