  the friendly nature of the hosts, the wonderful information they provided both in a written and verbal manner about the area and the breakfast - wonderful - The guest house was central to where we wanted to be. The friendliness of the owners. First impressions and facilities were excellent.

  fantastic place to stay,ran by lovely couple Steve & Gail. after a long journey our exhaust bracket on car had snapped,while Gail showed us to our room Steve strapped exhaust up to get us home after our stay. the room was clean & nicely decorated with everything we mite need,bathroom was clean & a good size. breakfast was lovely with ... lo que la gente dice » plenty to choose from & full English filled us right through to evening mean. after breakfast Steve & Gail showed us maps of different walks a - - Owners of the guest house are excellent. Provided useful information of places to visit, eat and drink - Free parking at the house - Windemere town is a few minutes walk and the lake approx 15mins walk (or £3.50 taxi) - Clean comfortable room - Direct access to room from garden by the car park making it easy to bring in bags and not disturd anyone if getting in late - Free WiFi - Good breakfast - Excellent value for money given the cost of hotels in the area. Wouldn't stay anywhere else when

  Wow, we stayed here in Dec 09 and it is wonderful, no wonder its the aa funkiest guest house in the whole UK! will return and would recommend highly, try the Bowness suite, it has its own pation, amazing bathroom and your breakfast magically appears out of nowhere! - The staff made us very welcome and the room was fantastic will be staying there a... lo que la gente dice » gain.

  Worth every penny - a fantastic small hotel It snowed heavily during our stay and the staff even cleared the snow from our car - We stayed in the Bowness suite and it was beautiful, we could not fault a thing at this place, will return soon

  Gill and John were so warm and welcoming, we felt as if we were visiting a friends home. The full English breakfast they cooked for us each morning was fantastic! Our rooms were spotless and very comfortable. The location was ideal for walking into the shopping area of town and close surrounding areas. Jill very helpfully arranged the taxi for us when we were leaving. - Everything from the cosy very well decorated room, warm hostess who was extremely helpful in finding activities and transport info. The location of the hotel is perfect, just a minute away from the lake. Breakfast was very nice and the access to the SPA at the Old McDonald is the cherry on top. We really felt like we were staying in a 5 star hotel.
