This was a perfect break. The staff are such a friendly team and really go out of their way to make guests feel welcomed. The views out over the fells make you feel relaxed in the first 5 minutes. A tramp in the sun, a swim, a spell in the hot tub outside and then a good meal - what else could you want for your holiday? -

Boot and shoe pub was a great overnight stay. The friendly owners and staff made you feel very welcome. The accomodation was very comfortable and the food was good. The atmosphere in the bar was great. It seems to be one of the pubs in UK that is doing well and providing a good service to it's customers.Even Tarzan likes the place. Great stay. Hig

Food was excellent and the whole stay was really good value for money in a great location despite the rain. Staff were friendly and I had a wonderful cooked breakfast included in the rate to start off the day.

After reading some negative reviews about this hotel I was really not expecting much at all. How wrong I was. My two children (age 4 & 8) and I stayed for 1 night. The staff were friendly,helpful and lovely with my children. The food was delicious. The offer of £20 for a four course meal and both children ate free meant we could dine in the h

the staff members were awesome
they looked after our requirements of the menu as my wife didn't want what was on the sweet menu, they said no problem. she asked what do you like and they made it happen. wow impressive
the chief was out standing in the presentation and taste of all the food we had.
we really recommend the food top class at reasonable price.
just like to say thank you for making our weekend special
