We were welcomed with a cup of tea and biscuits after a long journey down from London. We loved the 'honour' bar system in the evening. The breakfast was delicious - all home made or local food. Beautiful view across the valley.

Individual service and friendliness of owners, Very welcoming ,comfortable rooms and cosy guest sitting rooms. Breakfast excellent, local produce and home made bread & conserves. Had one evening meal which was delicious, again cooked using local produce .

All of the staff were very welcoming, and work hard to ensure you have a great stay. The service was superb and nothing was too much trouble.
For example -asked for warm milk for coffee on first morning and this choice was remembered each succeeding morning. Local walks were helpfully printed for us. Both my wife and myself remarked that there was no cooking smell at mealtimes. The room was spotlessly maintained each day and used tea and coffee sachets replaced with same. We ate twice in the restaurant, the first time being for our 50th wedding anniversary and enjoyed beautiful

The staff was incredibly helpful, friendly and courteous during our
stay. From the moment we entered the hotel they treated us like very
special guests on a very special occasion. On top of the excellent
accommodation (we had a seaside view superior room) the food was
also delicious, presented in a very elegant and sophisticated way.

Charming and unpretentious, I loved this hotel because it did not have the facilities or glamour of a boutique hotel but it had staff who cared , was very clean and comfortable and had a good old fashioned honesty about it which is so hard to find. Dinner was fresh , beautifully cooked and completely delicious. -

Even though our room was situated at the back, the little gate to the side of the building was so handy and you didn't have to go through the hotel to go outside. Great breakfast with friendly staff. Lovely comfy beds with cosy duvets. The shower was fantastic.

Everything. Location was perfect. Views were perfect. Shack was so clean and tidy and provided everything you needed. The access to toilets showers and food was so easy. The price was extremely fair. Our stay was fantastic throughout. Staff were friendly and very helpful when we asked for an extension of stay. The shack itself is beautifully located right on the beach. It's clean and warm enough in summer.

Brand new state of the art steam room - though the temperature could have been a tad hotter.
Pool was nice and warm, great for kids/familes.
Beautiful seaview rooms (note, you do nto get views with economy doubles).
Tea & coffee making facilities in room.

We had a great stay at the Duke of Cornwall. The rooms were lovely. We had a seperate toilet but that didn't cause any problems. After my mum became ill and had to go to hospital Debbie and Karen couldn't have been more helpful. The breakfast was good. We weren't so keen on the location but it was great to get to the Eden Project and Lost Gardens

Enjoyed the friendly relaxed staff & local character customers who add to the authentic feel of this well organised business.
Both the tenants share the cooking two very charming ladies, who are eager and have a large menu choice. Use of local ingredient's such as Beef that is hung before use , great flavour. Large portions.
Room was clean and great value good quality bed linen and a mattress for the price it was value for money. Well kept garden area.
