  This place is fantastic! A warm and cosy Traditionally styled Pub/Restaurant. There is ample parking right outside the entrance which we need for our enormous van. The Staff are 100% attentive and the service is quick too, the food and wine was particularly nice and at a reasonable price too. Truly excellent!!..I can't wait to return. - The staff were very friendly and helpful. The food served was excellent. We so enjoyed our first evening meal that we returned for the second evening before we returned home. We were able to leave the car parked there while we used the bus, which stopped right outside the hotel, to visit St Albans.

  Location was excellent - right by the M25 but by an old water mill and very scenic. Rooms were a very good size and the beds were as good as home. Also liked little details like the shower curtain on a curve to make it seem more spacious. The staff were very friendly and the room was very clean with all the facilities required for a pleasant stay.
