I'd never stayed at The Athenaeum before but I will be back. Although I booked a standard double at a very deep discounted rate (typically this means getting the box room next to the staff quarters), I was given an apartment room which was really a suite. This is a beautiful apartment in the heart of London, & close to several of the attractions. The apartment was very clean,spacious,modern,well equipped and
conveniently positioned for many of the top tourist attractions. There
is a perfect view of the top of the Shard from the Balcony. A real
plus is that The Bus Stop is immediately outside the front door
,Waterloo Tube station only 10 minutes walk and Lambrith North Tube
station only 4 minutes walk which makes for easy travel around
London.There is a great variety of take-away outlets ,restaurants,pubs
and supermarkets in the area .Th

The proximity to Victoria Train & Coach station. 5min walk for both. Hop on Hop off bus at the Train station. Plenty of pubs and restaurants to eat. We had the Studio room at the very top of the building. Small but comfy. Breakfast items are restocked each day. eg,. Cereal, pastrys, fruit, juice, cheese, bread, milk, coffee, selection of teas, biscuits. Free wifi. There is a computer if you need to print something off. It is in the main office. Toiletries supplied and replenished daily.Staf

Enjoyed staying here and would do so again! Very modern and the staff exceptionally friendly! Always willing to help and make our stay comfortable! The concierge had amazing suggestions for restaurants and walks - we followed his ideas and had a wonderful time. Would love to come and back and definitely would stay at this hotel!
