The guest house is run by a very warm and inviting family. The breakfast is excellent, a good variety of cereals, hot food, fruit, yogurt and a seemingly endless supply of tea and toast! We were given great instructions on getting to the main part of the city and the room was comfortable and spacious with a spotless ensuite which was small but perfectly adequate for our needs. Having previously stayed in hostels when I have visited Edinburgh, this made a welcome change and I'm sure we will stay

It's a really lovely decorated house. The owners are extremely
friendly and helpful. Breakfast was really tasty with good choice of
food (glutenfree, vegeterian, vegan was no problem). The area was
extremely quiet during night time. The house is in walking distance to
the castle and the royal mile. There are several good restaurants in
walking distance (5-10 minutes).

Very friendly welcome. We were in Edinburgh to see the rugby match and
the Granville was one of a few places to stay that didn't demand you
booked both the Friday and Saturday nights or else charged more than
usual for the Saturday night. It is walking distance to the centre. It

Staff very friendly and helpful, willing to provide anything we needed. Room fairly large with comfortable bed. Excellent breakfast in lovely front room. Good location near canal and we could walk into city in 20 mins.

Excellent facilities in large traditional Edinburgh house, central
situation with easy access to town centre and attractions. Very
reasonably priced for facilities and the fact that it was a Rugby
Weekend which usually incurs doubling the price by many other Hotels and
Guest Houses. Whilst the guest house doesn't do breakfasts there are
good facilities nearbye, although for this particular weekend the host
cooked all guests who were visiting for the rugby a great breakfast on

If you want to stay out of central downtown, are driving a car and take buses and tours, this works very well. Some signs of wear and tear here and there but it has the character of an older building which was exactly what I was looking for in Scotland. The downstairs sitting room with snacks and bar fridge a nice feature. Business office available.

Haymarket station (West-End). You will have comfort, cleanliness and an
excellent scottish breakfast! Do not be afraid of the dog: Bracken is

We booked a double and got a very spacious and comfortable room downstairs with 2 beds (queen & a twin). Check-in was quick. Heaters worked great for the chilly Dec weather. The shower always had hot water. Breakfast buffet consisted of cereal, toast, jam, yogurt, cheeses, pastries, fruit, juice, coffee, and tea was perfect to start the day. B

The B&B has really nice, with high ceilings and mouldings. Owner was very friendly and a nice welcoming host. Bed was comfortable, rooms were warm. Free Wi-Fi good for checking out local restaurants etc. Is about a mile walk from train station, with a nice bar restaurant called "Reverie" near-by on the way in to town.
Breakfast was good, with coffee or tea to suit. We would stay again.
