The quirkiness; if you don't like quirky then don't stay here! The staff were young, helpful and keen to make our stay a pleasant one. We chose a room without a window which was fine for 1 night. We were very impressed with the facilities. Quite often although a hotel claims to have a gym and pool they rarely offer the sort of quality found at this Novotel. The location was great - Southwark tube is 2 minutes away, St Paul's cathedral is a 15 minute walk and although the location is pretty central, we did not find the area too busy at all.

Excellent room with everything that a business traveler would need. Huge bed and luxury bedding and pillows. Polite staff and attentive to needs. Great location for business in London; easy for tube to anywhere (from Barbican, five minutes walk away). Last minute rate made it very reasonable cost for the undoubted quality. . -

Very comfortable and modern rooms. Older building repurposed so some quirkiness (corridors) but it just adds to the fun of the outing for me.
