The hotel is situated right in the middle of one of the most iconic Georgian buildings in the UK. The decor of the hotel is certainly in keeping with the grandeur of its location and the spa and restaurant were faultless.
The service provided by the staff was impeccable - which is a first in my experience! All the staff were warm and welcoming, nothing was too much trouble. I can't recommend this hotel highly enough.

Lovely breakfast room and full English breakfast.Loved being left alone and not having to be sociable. Enjoyed using the DVD selection and being able to park on the hotel forecourt. - Good location, very clean, high quality furnishings, ensuite was excellent, thick fluffy towels and toiletries included. lived there for many years.They took to the time to make us feel
extremely welcome and informed my girlfriend and I about where was good
to visit in the city, whether it be a bar, restaurant or tourist
attraction. The 4 poster room we stayed in, was bright, clean, extremely
comfortable and had a aired of wealth about it. We had a great weekend
away and the hotel/owners played a strong part in this.

Really nice greeting, very friendly and flexible to our needs, we
were in room 1 which was lovely and light. It is a pub so isn't
the kind of thing you'd expect at a hotel, but the friendliness
and general atmosphere was much better than cold hotel. Our friends
stayed at travelodge and paid more and were very disappointed.
Breakfast was great, and I'd definitely stay again if back in
