I like the name, it is a great place to meet people - love the little extras like the curtains around the beds and lights and the balcony. The staff were friendly and helpful and it was beautifully cleaned by the cleaner. Good value for money. -

The bed was of really good quality, and the linen was also. Great to get into a comfy bed after the day in such a a great city. This place is amazing. Our room was very clean and functional. It is close to the downtown. Also extremely convenient that La Isla Hostal is a couple of blocks from Estacio Nord (bus station) and Estacio de França (railway station). Friendly and helpful stuff. In my opinion, it is an ideal choice for budget-minded travelers.

We were happily surprised. It is a low profile hotel. No grand entrance, but home like. The room was spacious, clean, newly styled, comfortable with a wonderful balcony view of the city. The hotel is about a block away from a beautiful archway and walkway, not covered on the bus tours. The neigherhood is safe and there is life going on up until 2:00 a.m., but it does not disturb the guests. We loved it. This hotel can accomodate those with who walk with a cane/walker. Close to metro station, restaurants, shopping, bank and other amenities as well as close to places of interest. -
very well equiped, friendly staff in the office giving helpful advice. Nice area, close enough to be able to walk into the old city but not noisy at night.
