One of the nicest hotels we have ever stayed in on a city break in another country. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful for our entire stay. I like everything very much. The services is great. The rooms were allways clean (the towels changed every day) and confortable. The location of the hostal Oliveta is very convienent. Just couple minutes from metro station Parallel, also you can easily reach the old quarter, La Ramblas on foot. It will take 10-15 minutes to walk.

Stayed for 8 days, in the beginning, the hotel was the mistakes, and they booked us a room to other guests were settled, we proposed a more modest room, two days later freed ours, previously reserved room. Nice place with all that we need during our Travel!! Realy clean, with air conditioning, situated near Placa de Catalonya, which is the centre of the city. Only few rooms are there, so there is no problem with bathroom. Friendly and helpfull host, with a good advices and words for everyone. I'd like to come back this place asap! -

I loved the presentation of the flats upon entering, the way the beds
were made up, the fact that there was dishwashing liquid, tablets for
the dishwasher, toilet paper, rubbish bags etc just to start. Lovely
touches were the free bottle of wine and water, it's the little
things.... Reception was always friendly and efficient and helpful.

2. Being located in residential Barcelona was good so could sample how the locals lived
3. Having 2 showers was really useful
4. Having a balcony was good so we could dry our towels!
5. The utilities were good - kettle, fridge, etc - even towels and basic toiletries were included which was unexpected.
6. The complimentary bottle of Cava was a bonus!

Our stay was very pleasant. The staff were very helpful, friendly and accommodating.
Rooms are soundproof due to the large double windows and very bright and clean as well with a modern style. Awesome airplane theme throughout the room and hotel. Our room had a balcony with a nice view of one of the main streets in Barcelona.

We stayed at the hotel for 1 week. During this time we changed 3 rooms. Loved the staff, even though only one of them speaks English, but since he's there every day at day time, I had no problem asking for help.
My room was cleaned every day, which for a hostel is pleasantly surprising.
The location is good as in in the center - two minute walk to La Rambla and ten minute walk to the port. Plaça de Catalunya with the AeroBus is within 5 min too, so transfers to/from the airport could never be easier
The AC worked perfectly, fridge, shower, wifi etc - all good
