We have stayed in this hostel for two nights in late September. Absolute a value for money place to stay. Don't expect anything luxuary, it's plain and simple, exactly what you pay for. The hotel it is in walking distance off all the turistic attractions of Barcelona.
I consider this aspect as the best feature of this hotel.
The room was very clean, we had private bathroom and a balcony.
On all the streets surrounding the hotel there are restaurants, bars and shops.
The metro stop is at only 2 min walking distance.
After chek-out they permitted us to use their luggage storage room for the entire day.
Wi-Fi connection in the room was great.

This place completely ticked all the boxes for me. It was a very tidy, extremely functional place with exactly the descriptions mentioned on the website. Excellent value for money. I was upgraded to a en-suite which was absolutely fine, quiet, clean and comfortable. Very good area with many shops, bars both cheap and expensive, very close to everthing and Metro round the corner if you are feeling lazy, plenty of buses. The area is lively but I would say safe.

the hostel is in a minimal modern style, clean and comfortable. The room (most precisely a little apartment...) is big and soundproof (once the two great windows are closed). The Metro station (Parale'l) is just a few meters nearby. Great staff, fast and efficient! Recommended! -

I was staying for 3 noghts, and asked to not be woken up in the morning by the cleaner. I had my privacy, and got new towels every day while I was out. The staff at the reception was really friendly and polite! Very pationet when I asked for directiones:) I also like where the hotel is situated. Thanks for a good stay. I will be back!:) -

It was evident that a lot of thought had gone into providing for the needs of travellers, eg the microwave for heating snacks and the availability of info about the city. The breakfast was excellent value aside from the coffee/juice!

I like everything very much. The services is great. The rooms were allways clean (the towels changed every day) and confortable. The location of the hostal Oliveta is very convienent. Just couple minutes from metro station Parallel, also you can easily reach the old quarter, La Ramblas on foot. It will take 10-15 minutes to walk.

Stayed for 8 days, in the beginning, the hotel was the mistakes, and they booked us a room to other guests were settled, we proposed a more modest room, two days later freed ours, previously reserved room. Exelent hotel for budget stay in Barcelona. Great stuff, especially a middle aged man on the reception, he gave us a city map, a metro map, explained how to get to the most popular turistic places and recommended some good restaurants. Breakfasts were very good, included a variety of products. Hotel description is 100% correct.

The place is in a perfect location to go for a walk or to party around downtown of Barcelona. Nice and hospitality stuff, very friendly. Also valuable for the price and calm place if you need to rest or sleep after a great night or a long walk in the city. Highly recommend this hostel and will stay there for sure when I visit the city again.

We were grateful that we did not have to share the accomadation as the bedrooms are very close, but we felt comfortable and warm, the whole apartment was very clean and a lady came in every day to change towels ect (you must ask as you have to pay 1Euro per towel). Overall we enjoyed our stay and were happy with the accomodation. -
