In early Aug 2013, it was very hot in Madrid. I arrived to find there was no aircon in any room due to a generator failure. Too tired to relocate I stayed anyway. Hotel is renovated and is very trendy, our room was good and clean.
Cleaning was done well. We had no problems at all. We didn't take
breakfast so cannot comment on it. It is well situated, with a tube stop
just 3 minutes walk from the door. All major tourists sites are withing
walking distance, Plaza del Sol only 5-7 mins away (Prado musem is about
15-20 minutes, so as Plaza Espania).

From the moment you approach this hotel you feel welcome. The staff are true professionals who are happy to go the extra mile. The rooms are small but perfectly formed with wonderful design touches and very efficient a/c and water pressure. The food is excellent and good value, although the breakfast at first seems expensive, the choices are amazing and well worth it. But what really makes this hotel is the staff. If you want a downtown location in the heart of the city this this is an excellent place to be.
The hotel is small but very clean and tidy. They provide a free welcome drink in the roof top terrace. There are electric shutters on each windows to stop light and also reduce street noise. Hotel and rooms are very clean. Staff were fine. Overall, nothing exceptional but it served its purpose well enough.

Todo. La ubicación, la modernidad del hotel, la amabilidad del personal. - El personal: muy amable y profesional. Ubicación excelente si necesitas estar en pleno centro de Madrid. Fantastic hotel, overlooking retiro park. You heard no noise from other people staying in the hotel and the room was fabulous. Even had a laptop provided in the room with free wifi. Friendly staff and if you want to come back to the hotel at 6am they let you in no problem. Great location and a beautiful building, even the tourits on the tour bus took photos of the building! I would stay again and recommend to anyone.

Huge suite with every comfort you need: Kitchen with Lavazza Coffee machine, living room with large flat TV, huge bath with bathtub, huge comfy bed with an array of pillows. Good location (on foot 7min from the Via Grande, 10 min from El Prado and 3 min from the Bus Station 'Bus Express' to the airport. Would definitly go back. Nespresso Machine in the breakfast room. Fingerprint reader to enter the appartment: no badge you could loose or misplace. Free WiFi!

Staff, Location and Cleanliness.
Location was just the best in Madrid I believe. It is not in the midle of the touristic spot so you dont see 40+ years old tourists waddling around in their "comfortable" attire when you go outside of you hotel, instead, you are in the middle of the trendiest area. We had a wonderful time in this beautifully designed and extremely well located hotel. Staff were very friendly, elegant and welcoming. Attention to detail is for sure one of the key principles of this hotel, starting with the welcome (someone opening the door for you, we got offered as well a glass of Champagne to welcome us, water was provided for free in the room, ...).
