Very spacious and comfortable. A warm welcome by Catalin who gave us a map and pointed out sights and reminded us to keep safe from pickpockets. The apartment wasn't ready so we left our bags and went for a walk. Fantastic central location!

The location was ideal, just 2 minute walk from Plaza Mayor and the city centre. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Although it is a 3 star hotel and very small it is not short of all the amenities you would expect in a 4/5 star hotel. The restaurant has an excellent atmosphere and good quality food. The breakfast the hotel offered is the best I've ever had (even compared to 5 star hotels). If you can afford to stay at any of the attic rooms, I strongly recommend it...wow!!!

I rarely give top marks on the grounds there should always be room for some improvement but I'm struggling to find any fault with the Catalonia Atocha. Within half an hour of booking I received a "welcome" email from the hotel with detailed and useful information on how to find the hotel whatever the mode of transport, I’ve never had this before from an hotel, it boded well and I was not disappointed.
Without exception the staff were welcoming, friendly and helpful, and equally happy to speak

I loved this apartment. I would have no hesitation recommending it to other people visiting Madrid. The view is amazing, location is perfect, facilities are superb, WIFI is reliable and super fast! La situación, en una calle peatonal a 3 min de la puerta del sol. El
apartamento es amplio, las camas bastante cómodas, baño estupendo,
cocina bien amueblada,.... El desayuno buffet incluido en el bar de
