It's a five minute walk up to all the restaurants and from where the wine tram departs, perfect. It is really small but with Real quality and attention to detail. The public areas and our room were beautiful. Small touches like a decanter of sherry in the room, plus exquisite puddings left in the room at turn-down really give the place an opulent

The hotel is beautiful and perfectly located. The staff was friendly and always helpful. We enjoyed the stay so much that we booked two extra nights.The manager recommended restaurants, trips etc. We couldn't ask for a better stay and hospitality. We felt very spoiled and will definitely return.

My wife and I spent five nights at the Akademie. We stayed in Ooirtgung Cottage (spelling probably not correct) which has a lot of history and is very charming; slightly secluded from the main house and other cottages it was perfect.

I stayed 1 night at Travellers Lodge, the employee was very nice, he permitted us to park our car 3 hours prior the check-in and he allowed to check out the next day afternoon. Position, position. You can park you car and walk.to all the facilities, take the Wine Tram and eat the excellent restaurants or visit the many interesting galleries and shops in Main road. Very good value for money compared to the incredibly overpriced other accommodation in Franschhoek. BUT NB you get what you pay for.
This is not luxury but this leaves extra cash to eat out and enjoy the very pretty area. The staff were great and helpful and extremely friendly
