It was a really nice apartment and we enjoyed it all very much. We had our own floor with private bath, kitchen and living room, even free wifi, a laptop and tv! Laptop is attached to the tv which is really nice, you can watch whatever you want online. Internet works fine :) All the locks on the doors are working. The staircase is steep but fine.

Alot of thought has gone into the needs of a traveller in an expensive country. Our apartment had a full kitchen, was spacious, separate bedroom & a computer with a portable keyboard & mouse that was hooked up to the flat screen tv. We could watch streamed movies & had internet access. We were on the ground floor. Was very quiet despite people upstairs. Marianne delivered a complimentary range of homebaking for breakfast to us on our first morning. She was very helpful. Location cl

Stay was excellent. The bicycle I borrowed was especially useful. Though, you should advise anyone cycling up to the university that if the department has a locked space to put bicycles during the day, then your guest should use it.

Close to the wharf area, where most of the activity is.
The flybybus drops you right at the front door, if coming to Bergen by air, and only a 20 minute walk to the station.
The room was very well appointed. The breakfast had a wide range from which to choose. 5 minutes from the fjord cruise boats.

The hotel exudes old-world charm: nice wood wainscotting, lovely wood floors, and Oriental rugs. A large first floor room stays open all day with complimentary coffee, tea, and fruit and a limited menu. Breakfast is fabulous. Whimsical light fixtures in the rooms add a nice touch. A close walk to the center of town. Across the street from the train station and several blocks from the bus station.

Rooms are clean and bright. Travelled with two older kids the space and
additional beds are adequate.
Location provides views of of the Fjords and next to a small river. Best if you drove as public transport are limited.
Breakfast is generous for Norwegian standard and served in house restaurant which also serve Thai food.
Value considering Norwegian prices is good.

Now this, for Norway was value for money. Staff were very friendly, nice atmosphere in the cafe/restaurant, best pizza I've ever had. Couldn't believe the room and the view from the full wall of window, 20 foot high. Everything really good, highly recommended. -
