the bar who brought our room service to out rooms and when we came down -
Staff were very accomodating,as two young people most hotels assume we will be noisey,they did their very best to treat us equally and were very polite and proffesional at all times,there was a bit of a mix up with our booking when we arrived they did not have our booking on the computer but the gent at the reception was most helpful and fixed us a room immedietly even giving us the best room in the hotel for the same price it was relaxed and we felt very welcome i would definatley stay here ag

Great location only a couple of kms from dublin's city centre yet set in a peaceful and quiet street in a lovely old building overlooking a garden out the back. Rooms were small yet cosy and very comfortable. Wifi worked in the rooms fine and free parking was very convenient. Breakfast was a mixture of a small buffet as well as a la carte meals and was excellent. Staff were very friendly and provided some excellent restaurant recommndations. friendly staff - My friend and I arrived at around 10.20am, we were soaking wet from the morning downpour and there was a twin room ready, they checked us in straight away. The bar was lovely, great service and reasonably priced, tasty food. We went to Dublin for a concert, if we had to go again, we would def stay at the Mount Herbert Hotel again.

Loved the room. (Room 202). When you went in the room door there was a living room area with 2 arm chairs, coffee table, fire place, TV, and an eating table with 2 chairs. Off that room was a small kitchen - the basics tea/coffee and ample storage. Next room was the bedroom. This was quite big with a very big comfy bed.

Excellent value. I was worried about all the reports on noise, but it didn't bother me at all. It is fairly clear that it is going to be noisy anyway. Anyone complaining about this has been warned by other reviews and by the hotel's own website. It is ideal for anyone on a budget. Drinks were 2.50 at the bar and a large selection of meals from 6euro. If you prefer to be part of the party this place is great for you.

I liked the facilities for computer people and the option of doing some things as a group on an evening.I liked the way people are encouraged to mix,for example the big tables and the forms,the splendid option to cook in the evenings,having to share a room with complete strangers (as I was a solo traveller).The breakfast set up was homely.

Excellent location, on the fringes of the main bar area at Temple Bar.
My room was huge, containing a large double and two single beds, this
was not an 'upgrade', I had paid for a non refundable room in
advance. Staff all friendly and very helpful, in particular the girl who
checked me in, didn't get her name, but she's off to Ibiza on
holiday shortly! Lovely courtyard out back with waitress service (food
and drink) and where smoking is permitted. Highly recommended.
