Absolutely everything! I am a travel agent in Ireland, so I know what to
expect and was not expecting a lot from a hostel. However, the reviews
looked good and price was great. I was so impressed by the staff, the
provision of towels, the location and most of all by the apartment that

All the staff is very kind and efficient. In Sleepzone, they can show
you what to do in the city, recommend restaurants and pubs and sell you
guided tours to other places nearby Galway. Besides, the common areas
are very clean and organized, specially the kitchen. A very simple
breakfast (bread, jam and juice/coffee) is included, but it was more
than enough for us.

Good location, nightlife and shopping around. The entire staff is extremely friendly and always available and ready to help. Unfortunately I can not remember the name of the lovely girl with blond hair and blue eyes who always welcomes everyone with a sincere smile, simpatia, good conversation, usefull tips and help where needed.

I really enjoyed interacting with the staff. The staff are very, very helpful and accommadating. Many of the people staying at Barnacles were open and nice. It was very easy to make friends. Quay Street is a great location with many pubs and shops up and down the street. There is free music everynight in many of the pubs and some feature Irish/folk/dancing in them.

Great value and wonderful place to stay. The front desk staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, the whole facility was very clean and nice, perfect for a long stay with a large eating area, large kitchen and public lounge areas. They Kinlay was excellent! I've stayed at many hostels, and this was tops. It was clean, easy to move around in, centrally located to much of the sights of Galway, and easily put us in touch with a great free walking tour of Galway. Facilities were clean. Printing is free. Breakfast is decent - cereal, toast, or museli, with coffee and tea. Hot water just fine. Either bathroom connected to your room or large shared bathroom. Maria and Norbert are nice and helpful.
