As soon as you arrive, you are given fresh, home-made scones, danishes, and fresh tea and coffee. Wonderful service from a wonderful BandB! - The staff were very friendly. Hot tea, coffee and cakes on arrival were lovely. The breakfasts were brilliant, with as much as you could eat. The room was great with a big king size bed and very clean, also with fruit in the room. Absolutely brilliant stay.

  Everything! The room was very spacious and luxurious for the price. The beds were wonderfully comfortable (again one would expect to pay more!) and the staff couldn't have been more welcoming and helpful. Margaret the owner is a lovely hostess and we will definitely stay again when visiting cork. The Crawford is also in such a great location, a very short walk into the centre of town - The rooms were lovely, big and clean. The price is very reasonable considering how close you are to the city and how nicely decorated the rooms are. There was a nice breakfast and they catered for gluten-free diets. Cork city was only a ten minute walk away, and it's right by the college.

  Kinlay House is a travellers' hostel, so it's a lively place with lots of young backpackers passing through. It's practically next door to the Bells of Shandon (which you can ring, if you like).   About a 15-20 min walk to the center of the city. The staff was very accommodating. My friend and I were worried about our bags so he switched around our booking to give us a room to ourselves when we both booked 10 person male/female dorms. The room ended up being a 6 person dorm with a bathroom (shower/toilet/sink) to ourselves. It is a good hostel and very cheap. More or less 10 minutes from the city centre by foot.
