For one week I got to feel like a real Beijinger living in the Hutong (albeit a fancy Hutong) and see the culture in a way that is impossible for a tour group staying in a fancy hotel.
This place was an adventure and allowed me to really experience the culture.
It is not my typical kind of hotel, but I am very happy I had this experience.

IMPORTANT: it may be quite hard to reach the hotel, and even google maps gave me wrong directions. So here's how to go there: take the subway line 10, exit at Beitucheng, take exit D2, exit left and go right, then take the first turn on the right: the hotel hides at the end of the road.

Very comfortable hotel. Breakfast included was good size. The limited bar menu for lunch and dinner did offer excellent national cuisine. Rooms comfortable.

Justo al lado tiene una sucursal del banco chino, lo cual facilita mucho para ir cambiando pequeñas cantidades de dinero.
Si b - The staff were incredibly polite and the service was impeccable. They were also very helpful in providing us with "local knowledge" of where to go have fun, have good food etc etc.
The room itself was huge. Impeccably clean, service was always prompt especially when we ran into trouble with the washing machine. Amenities that one needs away from home were all there. Gym, Pool & Jaccuzzi were also great. -
Very spacious apartment, good for a family with children. Nice to have
kitchen and washing machine and warm toilet seats :).
