We were immediately upgraded at no extra cost due to no availability of non smoking room. The reception and conciege staff were excellent and very cooperative. The room was very comfortable; we very much enjoyed the luxury after a long backpacking trip. The spa (swimming pool, sauna) is included in the room rate and there is no additional charge. The spa facilities are well maintained and we made ample use of them. WiFi is fast and free. Staff is very friendly and helpful. -

The hotel was decorated in old style china, great if you want the feel of stepping back in time.The rooms were clean and tidy and the gardens and buildings are very picturesque. Staying here puts you in the centre of a real chinese community, all the people were friendly and if you are a westerner you will draw a few glances. Very friendly and helpful staff. Hotel itself very clean. Rooms were very nice. Breakfast was very good, many options. Location was very good. Close to all main places like Dongcheng district and Sanlitun. Swimming pool and jacuzzi were very nice and put to great use after walking the whole day in Beijing. -
