The pillows were the best we have ever had. We asked at the front desk, when checking out and were given the name brand. The lady at the check out was very helpful. -

The ambience and facilities in the room such as a fridge, cups, wine glasses, microwave. The view was beautiful and the bed was comfortable with soft linens. Not very spacious but a cozy feel and the sofa and coffee table made it feel like home. -

The front desk and concierge staff were outstanding. We had a problem with the air conditioning. Someone came to look at it and said it was working fully but that the room was not cooling. They gave us keys to another room and said we could have whichever room was the most comfortable.
The beds and pillows are the best. -

Great decor, hotel staff was friendly and very knowledgeable. Great hospitality. The breakfast was more than we expected. Meal was hot with lots of choices. We will definitely go back. -

We can't say enough wonderful things about our stay at the
RoyalYork. It was our winter get away the year.( Didn't have time
for an island trip ) We took the train to get to Toronto, so we just
walked across the street. The Royal York is so majestic that as soon as
the door men open the door for you, it is like walking into another

Although the room rate was no bargain, I thought it was good value. The suite was large and we got full use out of it. Everything about the room from the bed (very comfortable) to the bathroom (loved the glass shower) to the not-so-small kitchen (even had a dishwasher and a toaster) was top notch.
The staff was also very helpful when I cycled up to the front door on my dirty bicycle after riding in the rain. They took me to a hose in the garage where I could clean it.

Having stayed at the Southway a half dozen times in the last ten years, this visit was the best by far--perhaps it has something to do with the change of ownership?? I liked the clean homey atmosphere of the hotel and also the fact that
it is only a 5 min drive to the Casino and race track. Staff were very
helpful and friendly. Enjoyed the Shallows restaurant --- got an upgrade
during the current renovations and appreciated that very much.

Upon entry i was greated by a very friendly helpfull receptionist. Even though we were eary, the room was ready as she gave it to us immediately. The room was very, very clean. The beds were exceoptionally confortable. The room was well decored We will be staying their again and highly recommend it -
